Ronja is hopefully going to have her first litter in March 2012. Here is a picture of the charming male Jermu (Kipazin Just a Prank) who visited us at the beginning of January 2012.
At the beginning of February several puppies were seen when an ultrasound was done on Ronja.

Why a Kromfohrländer??

We had two large dogs and I started looking for a smaller one in winter 2006. We have had some negative experiences of dogs that repeatedly run away from home and I had got fed up with that . So I started googling using the words 'a dog-doesn't run away ' and ended up in something I'd never heard of. A breed called Kromfohrländer. The name sounded so hard that I wondered if I could even learn the name of the breed! Nevertheless, I decided to find out more about this breed. I read everything I could find about these dogs and I went to dog shows to see what these dogs look like. I met warnings everywhere that this breed is by no means an easy one and you should think really carefully about taking a dog of this breed beecause it's such a challenge. On the oyher hand I met some worhippers of this breed who said that these dogs are absolutely charming and unique. I started finding out where to get a dog like this and noticed that there are so few of them that it is by no means easy. After a lot of consideration I decided to get one whatever it takes. I had to wait months before a litter was born and I was accepted as a suitable candidate to own a puppy. So Wilma came to my life.

I and the whole family immediately fell in love this wonderful baby who was absolutely adorable. I could write a novel about this fantastic dog, but here are some characteristics about our dog:

I'm very impressed by the controlled behaviour of this dog: when we have visitors she never welcomes them passionately, instead she is very calm and reserved. I never need to be scared of her jumping against strangers and scaring them to death. Wilma is interested mainly in her own family members and she welcomes us with such passion and warmth that I never have to wonder if she is happy about meeting us or not. She can smile!! When we go for a walk she is not interested in other people nor dogs but prefers to stay with me so we seldom need a leash. Her deepest worry is to lose me and so she always stays close to me.What has surprised me most is that once when she saw a hare running in our garden and was about to run after it, I started shouting her name and she obeyed me and didn't go after the hare. I'd found the dog who doesn't run away!

Wilma is very playful, yet she is guarding our home all the time. No one can enter without her noticing an dwarning us.

She's been very easy to train and she seems to understand not only my speech but she also seems to read my mind.

Of course she is not a human being but a dog and she acts like a dog, but she has been a really really positive dog in every way! I have never regretted getting a Kromfohrländer, on the opposite getting to know this wonderful breed has been one of the best things in my life.
